  This is a "must" for every visitor to Bangkok, for the Grand Place Complex, which includes the Temple of The Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Keow) is unquestionably one of the wonders of the world today. Within its enormous grounds is the most exotic Buddhist temple and at the heart of the temple itself is a fabulous Buddha image, carved from one piece jade, which is the holiest and most revered of religious objects in Thailand today.
Nearby is the Grand Palace, once the official home of the Kings of Siam-built in traditional Thai architecture mixed with European designs. You will also visit The Royal Funeral Hall and The Royal Coronation Hall. This Palace has an area of 218,400 sq.meters and is surrounded by walls built in 1783. The length of the four walls totals 1900 meters. Within these walls are situated government offices and the Chapel Royal of the Emerald Buddha besides the royalresidences.When Siam restored law and order after the fall of Ayudhya the monarch lived in Dhonburi on the other side of the river. Rama I, immediately on ascending the throne, moved the center of administration to this side of the Chaopraya; and, after erecting public monuments such as fortifications and monasteries, built a palace to serve not only as his residence but also his offices the various ministries, only one of which remains in the palace walls. This palace came to be known as the Grand Palace, in which the earliest edifices contemporary with the foundation of Bangkok were the two groups of residences named the Dusit Mahaprasad and the Mahamontien.

  Bridge over the River Kwai 

Apart from the fascinating natural geography, many of its major attraction are also connected with the Second World War; The Bridge over the River Kwai – still in use today, it was the target of frequent Allied bombing raids during 1945, and was rebuilt after the war end, The JEATH Museum – an enclave constructed largely in the form of an Allied prisoners of war camp with the collection of photographs displayed, War Cemetery – it contains the remains over 6000 prisoners of war who perished during the construction of the “ Death Railway”, Hell Fire Pass – this is a part of the Death Railway, constructed during the Second World War and now abandoned. A long passage made through the Stone Mountain by the Allied prisoners indicates the extreme difficulty in construction the Death Railway. To the visitors to Kanchanaburi (River Kwai) Province, remember that these sites memories were constructed not to maintain and profit the hatred amongst human being particularly between the Japanese and Allied countries, but to warn and teach us the harsh reality of WAR and help prevent such a terrible thing ever happening again.

Pick up from Hotel in Bangkok, Leave Bangkok for Kanchanaburi.
Visit the coconut sugar local factory a place where palm sugar is made is called “Tao Tan”. Sugar palm is a famous quality product of Samut Songkhram. When a coconut tree is about 3-4 years old, its spadices are cut, so that farmers can collect its sweet sap, then they simmer it over a fire until it becomes brown and dry.
Arriving at the jetty you board long-tailed boats and cruise through the many small canals that takes you to the market at Duamnuen Saduak. Here you will be fascinated by boats of various shapes and sizes used by local merchants to ferry their goods.
Depart Dumnuen Saduak floating market to Bangkok. On the way visit the Royal Thai Handicraft Village.

Kanchanaburi visit to Bridge over the river kwai and war cemetery of allied prisoners .
Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, This cemetery contain the remains of 6,982 war prisoners who lost their lives during the Captivity of the Japanneses Army that forced them to build the Bridge over the River Kawi and the Death Railway.
The World War II Museum, located at the site of the old bridge, was opened on 5 December 1988 by Boonyiam Chansiri and her family. Her father died fighting the Japanese when she was only eleven years old.
